What’s in a name?

The photograph above is the “Blue Marble”. It was taken from Apollo 17 on December 7, 1972. While not the first photograph of the Earth as a whole, the Blue Marble went on to become a significant symbol in environmental movements in the 1970s and beyond. It from this significant and powerful photograph that GreenMarble gets its name.
